Psyche Revived by Cupid's Kiss, by Antonio Canova, is regarded as a masterpiece of neoclassical sculpture. Completed in 1793, it is located in the Louvre Museum, Paris, France. The statue depicts Cupid (the Roman god of love) kissing and reviving the beautiful Psyche (goddess of the soul) from her deathlike "sleep of the innermost darkness." The sculpture expresses the idea that true love overcomes all. Social media sharing always appreciated.
